PlaySpace Secures $1.9 Million to develop Social Games for the Spanish and Portuguese World

PlaySpace S.L. , a developer and operator of social and multi-player evergreen games, just  announced the closing of $1.9 million investment round led by PeopleFund with the participation of the Spanish venture fund Faraday Ventures.

PlaySpace is looking to launch its portfolio of games in the USA and in Latin America where the company aims to become the leader in social gaming for the Spanish and Portuguese speaking market.

Founded in 2011 by Alfonso Villar and incubated by Enrique Dubois of Mola.com, PlaySpace has successfully launched traditional Spanish evergreen games such as Parchis, Dominos, Luno, La Oca and Chinchon. Available in Facebook and Tuenti all games are offered as a freemium service and users have the ability to purchase virtual currency and goods.
